Selected Works

Motivations and inspirations behind my bodies of work are wide and varied from photographers such as Wynn Bullock to surrealist painters such as Salvador Dali. However with this being said my personal ethos on my bodies of work are this; that an image is 50% belonging to the viewer and 50% the possession of the artist.

With this in mind, it is my belief that there is a communication of conscious and subconscious ideas between the viewed and the viewer. This I believe,  is where the essence of any image lies, and that a statement explaining the motivation behind the work will undoubtedly  influence this exchange. So after giving long consideration, I have chosen not to publish my work statement and instead have chosen to believe that a strong image should stand alone and not need an explanation.

To give a very general overview about my work I would say that these images represent for me a headspace and to a degree, a psychological playground. I feel that, I am often connected to the landscape trough my work. These images are not factual representations, nor do they strive to be.  I will close with this single comment; I make a picture, I do not take a picture.
